So what is "Custom Emojis" ? Well, it started as a tumblr blog! on April 24th 2020 I created the tumblr blog Custom-Emojis! and pretty quickly it took off. I didn't really expect it to. I created custom-emojis one day completely on a whim because I have ADHD and I get random inspiration to do shit sometimes.After the blog started gaining traction, I eventually made my discord server which has helped me keep track of things immensely.unfortunately, with popularity there are some downsides. Primarily, my emojis tend to get reposted and stolen often. I hope with making this Carrd it'll be more clean and organized, and give people a better and easier way to find out the rules for using my emojis as well as properly credit me. Rules
By using my emojis you are agreeing to the following rules
You will not trace, edit, or otherwise modify the emoji in any way unless permission is otherwise given
You will not use the emojis anywhere outside of Discord other than the previously agreed upon exceptions of Simplyplural, AAC boards, and nonverbal communication cards. You may not use our emojis on Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, Your own Carrds, Slack, Whatsapp, or any other site/app. If you are unsure the answer is probably no.
If using my emoji or art as an icon, you will credit me in some way, shape, or form. Whether it be 'Icon by Custom-emojis' in your tumblr bio, or a link to this Carrd in your PK description. A link to this Carrd is preferred but where not appropriate you may direct in other ways.
FAQ
These are all questions that we get asked frequently. Will be periodically updated! if some of these questions are confusing or seem strange, my guess is just as good as yours. i'm simply posting the questions I come across often.
Q: What is a system?
A system is two or more people in one body. This is usually due to Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) or Otherwise Specified Dissociative Disorder (OSDD-1A and OSDD-1B). Please read our plurality Carrd here to learn all about it.
Q: Are you a system?
We sure are! We are The Heretic System, and we are a Traumagenic OSDD-1B system. We Have known we were a system for a long time but didn't use proper terms until 2015
Q: How do you know if you’re a system / Am I a system?
Please don’t ask us this. We really aren’t equipped to answer this for you. If you think you may be a system, we highly recommend you just. Talk to other systems. Learn about them, see how they function. Learn about DID and OSDD, then look into other sources if neither of those fit. Also keep in mind other disorders like BPD, schizophrenia, and Autism can cause fragmentation in identity and can appear similar to being a system at times. Just give it a lot of thought and introspection, be open to all options and if you settle on the fact you think you’re a system, then all the power to you.
Q: How did you figure out you were a system?
It really isn’t a very interesting story. Chara fronted one day and had a huge identity crisis, and made a blog and talked to our friends as themselves. We identified as an Endogenic Median system for years because we hadn’t processed our trauma. Around 2016-2017 we started identifying as a Traumagenic OSDD-1B system, and since 2018 our system has been medically recognized.
Q: Do your alters draw/write differently / What do their styles look like?
Yeah, we do. We don’t all have different styles but a handful of us have very subtle differences. We did a side-by-side drawing at an anons request where 6 of us with the most different styles drew the same thing side by side to show style differences. You can see that here
Q: What are your opinions on [x]? Do you support [Y]? What is your discourse opinion?
Listen. We aren’t going to argue with you. We aren’t going to discourse about it, and your continued attempts to get us to “pick a side” is ridiculous. 90% of tumblr discourse does not matter outside of the internet, and most of these discourses are literally talking about if people deserve to exist which we think is downright fucking stupid. If your discourse boils down to trying to pit queer people against eachother, or if x or y is allowed to exist, you probably need to take a step away from the internet as a whole and consider if maybe you’re just looking for something get angry about. Use common sense. Our philosophy is a hard ‘we mind our own fucking business’.
Q: I’m [insert their discourse opinion] Can I interact? (assuming you’re asking in good faith)
We never answer these asks on tumblr because answering them inherently shows us picking a side. The answer is probably yes. We don’t actually look at who follows us because it makes us incredibly paranoid to focus on the discourse opinions of our followers. If we have a problem with you, we’ll block you. (like if you show up red with shinigami eyes). Otherwise you’re free to interact as long as you keep your opinions to your damn self on our content.
Q: What’s up with your weird inability to drink water?
Well you see. We got a face full of dog mace once. Heres the story about it.

Yes we’re okay now, Yes it was deeply traumatic and our parents suck, Yes we can drink some flavoured waters (Though we cant drink those MIO things). You are still free to send us further questions about this if you’d like, we don’t mind talking about it.
Q: What is kinning/Are you kin?
Being kin means identifying AS (not with) something. Read our alterhuman carrd (see below) to learn more. But yeah, The host and protector are both kinnies and have been in the kin community for over 9 yrs.

Q: Can you do an emoji of x character?
I’m sorry but we only do character emojis if commissioned. It’s $3 for an emoji, so please feel free to DM us and we’ll do our best to work something out with you if you’d like to commission us. You can find our commission information on the home page.
Q: Can you make an emoji like [insert another emoji creator’s content]?
Probably not. We don’t like the idea of copying another artists work. You’d be surprised how often we get asked this. No, we won’t make our own version of another artists emojis. You can request a similar concept but don’t slap another emoji artist’s name on it, just tell us the concept.
Q: Can I use your emoji as an icon?
Yes. We do allow people to use our emojis as icons with proper credit. For what constitutes as proper credit please see our rules page.
Q: Can I use your emoji on x website/app? / Will you ever post your emojis to x website/app?
We, as of right now, only allow our emojis to be used on discord. Nowhere else. No whatsapp, no telegram, and absolutely no Twitter or Tumblr. Nothing like that. Only discord. Please do not re-upload our emojis to other sites, and if we find out you have, we will likely do a takedown on them. Please see our Rules for more information on that.
Q: Can I Edit/Trace/reference/Copy or take inspo from your emojis?
No. I’d really rather you didn’t. I don’t want anybody trace, copy, or edit my emojis and even taking inspo from I’m a little weird about? Definitely don’t take inspo for your own emojis. Just come up with your own style! You don’t need to use mine. Inspo I don’t really do anything about, because I don't own the concepts. But it makes me uncomfortable, so please do not show me. Though if I catch you actually tracing my emojis or editing my emojis I will be contacting you for removal or filing a takedown where applicable.
Q: What do you use to draw your emojis / how big is the canvas?
We use a 500x500 canvas and when on PC we use a wacom intuos pen and touch small with paint tool SAI, and on mobile we use an adonit pixel stylus with artstudiopro.
Q: My friend is a system, Anything I should know?
Not really..? I dont know man, I’m not your friend. You should ask your friend about it, and listen to them. I have no idea what your friend is like or what their comfort levels would be. Generally, i’d say treat each alter like different people, respect their individual boundaries, treat persecutors and prosecutors with basic human decency. Etc. This is a question I get horrifically often and I really don't have an answer for it.
Q: Will you be my friend / Can we be friends?
I mean this as nicely, and gently as possible. but no. most likely not. I don’t mean to be rude, but a lot of people following me have developed a sort of parasocial relationship with me. I’m going to be honest, I have exactly 0 intentions of befriending any of my fans in any way. I just don’t want to, it feels weird. Please don’t act like we’re best friends, I don’t know you. I am a stranger on the internet. If we somehow get talking, and you’re 18+ and stuff we may eventually become friends. maybe. But like I said, I have no intentions of making friends through this.
Q: Can you make a master post of all your x emojis?
This is unlikely to ever happen. At least not as a masterpost on tumblr, as i've made many hundreds to upwards of a thousand emojis at this point. I have considered trying to make a database of them all on this Carrd but that'd be a very long, tedious process that I'm not sure I'm up for quite yet.
Q: Are you ‘draw-some-emojis’, do you have any relation to them?
No. I have no idea why people think this. I’ve never even talked to them. I know they deactivated and I know they were one of the other popular emoji blogs but that’s about the end of it. I am not them, they are not me.
